What will candidates learn?

This qualification focuses on the importance of maintaining health and safety in the care sector.


What will candidates be able to provide, in terms of on the ground knowledge and helpfulness in case of an incident relevant to their training?

An understanding of how to contribute to moving and handling individuals safely and the health and safety of individuals in their daily living will be gained. The importance of the maintenance of a safe and clean environment in a variety of settings will be understood. The necessity of following company health and safety rules and procedures is also covered.


How will their knowledge be tested at the end of the course?

Through a 30-minute, 15-question, multiple-choice examination. Learners must achieve a score of at least 10 out of 15 in order to pass

This qualification is usually achieved by taking a half-day course
