Aspire2Work is a 3-week pre-employment skills development programme that has a success rate of getting 73% of its attendees back into some form of work.

The course includes two national recognised qualifications that provide and improve a number of transferable skills that improve the learner’s chance of gaining meaningful employment.


Qualifications gained:

  1. BTEC Level 1 in Work Skills – This qualification provides candidates with the tools and skills needed when searching for employment.
  2. NVQ Level 2 in Health-Related Activity Leadership – This qualification builds communication skills, the ability to lead others and prepares candidates for further study in activity based qualifications such as Sports Coaching, Youth Work and Community Work.
  3. L1 Active IQ - Assisting in delivering activities
  4. L2 Active IQ - Delivering activities
  5. Qualsafe L3 Emergency First Aid at work  

Aspire2Work starts at 9 am and finishes no later than 4 pm every day. The course is delivered in a very relaxed atmosphere with a low tutor-learner ratio to enable fantastic working relationships from the very beginning of the course.


What can I expect on the course?

Candidates will take part in a wide range of activities on the course including:

  • Fun activity sessions
  • Team building exercises
  • Communication games
  • How to job search and write applications effectively
  • Practice interviews
  • Support and preparation for real job applications and interviews
  • Two Day work experience and interview with Aspire for outstanding candidates
